Full Details

A lovingly developed, beautiful three bedroom home in the heart of Streatham Vale.

An immaculately presented terraced house, expertly arranged over two floors, with three well-proportioned bedrooms, living room, bathroom, and dining room and kitchen, both leading to a large sunny garden. Designer touches and vintage features abound.

The home is sat on a peaceful residential street in leafy Streatham, with a wealth of open green spaces and playgrounds, excellent schools and plenty of day to day activities.

If it were your home...

Natural light floods the home freely through the large box bay windows, elegantly decked out with classic plantation shutters. Rich hardwood floors run underfoot on the ground floor, complemented by tasteful paintwork of muted neutrals and featured pops of colour for a beautiful finish.

The large garden is mature and easy on the upkeep, with a cosy reading nook on the patio, and two further seating areas - one in the dappled shade of the apple tree (bountiful harvest guaranteed!), and another at the bottom of the garden, basking in the sun all day long. The garden is nicely secluded and perfect for dining and entertaining al fresco.

As you head upstairs, you'll be greeted with a wonderful blend of classic and contemporary design, impeccably finished with soft carpet and tranquil colour schemes. Two of the bedrooms are sizeable doubles, with a third lending itself perfectly to a home office, nursery or gym.

Insulated loft provides plenty of storage space, and a potential for a loft conversion.

This freehold house would be an ideal purchase for a first time buyer or home mover looking for more space. The property is ideally located in Streatham Vale and is a walk or short bus journey from Streatham Common Station with direct access to Central London via Balham, Clapham Junction, London Bridge and London Victoria. Woodmansterne and Granton schools are a short walk away as are the shops, bars and restaurants local to Streatham Vale.

A word from the owners...

"We moved to Streatham from Tooting a few years ago in pursuit of more space and greenery on our doorstep, and found it at this house we now call home.

We have four small parks with playgrounds within 5 min walk, and both Streatham Common (with its stunning Rookery walled garden) and Mitcham Common are within 20 min walk or 5 min bus ride away. Expect woodlands, ponds and running paths galore, as well as plenty of community events, such as food and music festivals, farmers markets, kite days, fun fairs and many more.

There are some lovely local shops, pubs are restaurants within 5-10 minute walk (David's Deli is a must try for yummy treats!). We highly recommend the fish & chips shop at the bottom of our road (they give our toddler a lollipop every time we visit too!). The Railway and The Bull pubs both have lovely garden spaces and lots of community events going on.

The nearest supermarket (Lidl) is only two min walk away, with big Sainsbury's, Tesco and M&S nearby too. There's a big Homebase about 10 min walk away, which has proved extremely handy on more than one occasion! A small Shell petrol station is right around the corner too.

There are plenty of nurseries and schools around us, most of them with outstanding ratings. There's also a forest nursery in Streatham Vale park, which is wonderfully wild and is open to everyone for free every Saturday afternoon.

Our nearest station is Streatham common, 12 min walk away, with frequent trains to Victoria and London Bridge on Southern Rail. Thameslink trains run from both Mitcham Eastfields and Streatham Stations. There are a few bus stops at the bottom of our road with very frequent services towards Central as well as South London.
A short drive South would take you to a few large shopping centres in Tooting, Purley and Croydon (Costco, Ikea, every building shop under the sun, and well as clothing and home goods).

Streatham has been a lovely home for us - we found the perfect mix of quiet suburbia but still with excellent travel connections, plenty of pubs and restaurants, amazing parks, farmers markets, and a lovely sense of community.

This house has been our first true home as a family, and one we will miss, but as our family grows, the time has come to pass our home on to someone new."
